Persaingan yang terlihat adalah adanya pelaporan Apple atas Samsung yang telah dituduh meniru iPhone di
sejumlah produk Galaxy milik Samsung. Namun pelaporan Apple atas Samsung berbuntut pada dijatuhkannya denda uang sebesar 40 juta won atau setara US$ 35.400. Keran pengadilan menilai Apple
meniru dua paten yang dimiliki Samsung terkait wireless. Sedangkan Samsung didenda 25
juta won akibat pelanggaran paten terkait fungsi bouncing-back saat scrolling dokumen elektronik.
